1.   PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT   (PART – TIME STAFF CASUAL/RELIEF)

REQUIREMENTS:  The successful candidate must:

• Have a PSW certificate
• Be familiar with the philosophy of independent living.
• Possess excellent communication skills and work habits.
• Must be physically able to perform lifts and transfers.
• Must be available to work shifts, days, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends.

DUTIES: The purpose of this position is to provide assistance with activities of daily living for adults with physical disabilities who live in their own homes.  These activities include:

• Personal care
• Bowel/bladder care
• Meal preparation and clean up
• Dressing/undressing
• Escorts
• Transferring
• Communication Assistance
• Light housekeeping – dishwashing, emptying garbage
• Other duties as required by the consumers
